Realm of the Mad God pits every player against Oryx and his innumerable monster horde. Killing as many of his creatures as possible to summon the Mad God himself for a duel is the main objective of the game. However, there's more to see and do. Defeat OryxBand together with other players to defeat all Quest Monsters, and then Oryx will finally show up to duke it out. All players on the server will be transported to his castle, where his Stone Guardians will need to be defeated. Entering the portal dropped by the Guardians will bring you to Oryx. It will take a team to defeat him, as he continually spawns his own demons to shield himself from your attacks. Oryx can take 85,000 damage before revealing he is in his Wine Cellar and pledging to return after another Realm of his minions are killed. He generally leaves behind some nice loot for his vanquishers.

Collect the Best EquipmentAs you level up, you'll find plenty of equipment that your class may or may not be able to equip. Find other players via chat to share loot with until you have the best equipment for your character as described in the Equipment section. The maximum level is 20, but equipment is not limited based on player level. Farm the GodsIn addition to dropping good equipment, the gods also drop potions that can permanently increase your stats. Many players have taken to farming the gods for these potions, hoarding collections numbering in the hundreds! Gain the Most Experience/FameAs you gain experience, you also gain fame for your character. Accumulate enough (fame bonuses help), and your character might get onto the leaderboards when it dies. Obtain the Coveted White StarAs you complete class quests, you'll gain stars. With 5 stars per class, and 14 classes total, there are a total of 70 class quests to complete. For every 14 stars you gain, the color of your star changes:

LIGHT BLUE 0-13
DARK BLUE 14-27
RED 28-41
YELLOW 42-55
ORANGE  56-69
WHITE 70-82

BLACK 83-97

LAVA RED 98-114

FROZEN BLUE 115

Upon completion of every class quest, one obtains the coveted white star.

Note that you can achieve this after death as a result of the fame bonuses. For example, one might have a character with 1300 base fame upon death. Due to bonuses such as mundane, well-equipped, etc., the total fame may be boosted to 2100, granting the fifth class star. A large number of players farm these fame bonuses and sit in "fame trains" to 5-star classes quickly and with minimal effort; however, these players are often looked down on by "legitimate" white stars, who consider these "fame-farmed white stars" to be illegitimate.
